Helping Gowers Stay Ahead in 2019

Earley Ornamentals will be launching its new main 2019 catalogue and dedicated Perennial catalogue as well as displaying many of its new Spotlight 2019 products at this year’s Four Oaks Trade Show on 4-5 September. 

Designed to help growers stay ahead and meet the needs of today’s challenging retail environment, the Earley Ornamentals 2019 range is packed with seed and cutting raised choices for spring, summer and autumn flowering.

Featuring increasingly popular favourites such as Nemesia and additional colours in the forever-popular Pansy Premier F1, the 2019 range includes many new commercial introductions – see our Spotlight 2019 products.

The Earley Nemesia range continues to be a strong seller and this year’s introduction is a new large flower Nemesia option – new Nemesia Bordeaux with its large wine-red coloured flowers.

Other predicted best sellers include two Cosmos additions, Cosmos Apollo and Cosmos Xsenia as well as a new tangle-free F1 Ivy Leaf series - Geranium Reach Out. Also featured is new Phlox Popstars F1 and a host of on-trend dahlia options from the fun, flashy Labella® series.

The latest addition to the successful Bossa Nova™ series, Night Fever Papaya displays a multitude of cascading, light orange flowers that contrast strikingly with darker foliage. 

Adding to the Begonia range is the new aromatic delight, Begonia Fragrant Falls®. Its semi-trailing habit and excellent staying power, summer to frost, makes this Begonia superb for baskets.

With perennial popularity growing all the time, we’ve expanded our range to meet demand. 

Best selling lines from our Premium Perennials range include Geranium, Heuchera and Hellebores and we’ve widened our increasingly successful Salvia range with new varieties like Wendy’s Wish and different colours such as Hot Lips.

Other new options, ideal for rock gardens or edging plants, include Armeria maritima Morning Star with its rose-pink pompon flowers - a durable Thrift for almost any sunny location and, re-introduced for 2019, Campanula Clips. Its cushion-shaped mounds boast prolific up-facing, open bellflowers that bloom in early summer.

New to Earley this year is cottage garden favourite - low-growing Alchemilla mollis Thriller, with its soft green, fan-shaped foliage and honey scented lime green flowers.

For impressive flower power and colour impact, Penstemon Pentastic™ is compact with self-branching short flower spikes and requires no extra pinching, spacing or PGRs.

The Dianthus revival continues. New fragrant introductions include tall varieties Bridal Star with its pure white double flowers and iridescent ruffled petals, double flowered, dark eyed Pink Ruffles and striking semi double crimson red flower, Red Carpet.

Also, new is dwarf variety Flutterby, a delicately patterned single magenta flower with blackcurrant eye and white fringe.
